Open House: WLA Bridge Housing Proposal

Dear Neighbor,

I am writing to let you know about an important upcoming meeting in your neighborhood. LA County, along with the City of Los Angeles and state representatives, is beginning exploratory conversations about building “bridge housing” on a portion of the West LA Armory parking lot on Federal near Wilshire Boulevard. This conversation is in its very early stages and we’d like to involve you in the discussion.

Bridge Housing provides housing and services to men and women experiencing homelessness so they can get the help they need to find and keep a permanent home. The County is opening bridge housing in many communities in my district including Hollywood, Sylmar, Canoga Park, and Venice. It is a critical piece of the solution to ending homelessness.

Please join us to learn more about the proposal and contribute your thoughts to the conversation. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 29 from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Felicia Mahood Senior Center near the West LA Library at 11338 Santa Monica Blvd. 90025. Please RSVP to Zaire Overton, or call her at (310) 231-1170.

Hope to see you there!
