A town hall re: the San Vicente Scenic Corridor Specific Plan (SVSCSP) hosted by the Brentwood Community Council was held at University Synagogue July 26th. The plan was created in 1980 due to community concern over development of large buildings and a fear for the future direction of the boulevard. Since then, the plan has been updated several times, but speakers at the meeting indicated there is no evidence of a desire to loosen the reigns (sic) on the guidelines and restrictions which dictate development, signage and maintenance standards for the boulevard between Bringham and 26th St. A committee has been formed to review the Specific Plan.
***The SVSCSP Design Review Board has openings. Please send a letter indicating your interest along with your resume to CD11 District Director Debbie Dyner Harris at [email protected] . Architects and landscape architects are especially encouraged to apply.
